Answer:

When voters caste vote to the candidate of his own choice it's called direct democracy. In modern days in almost in advance countries representatives are elected by direct methods. whereas according to indirect methods,voters do not elect their representative/leaders to the legislature to the mediary electors collectively known as electoral college the those intermediary electors elects representative to the legislature assemblies. In the way representative are not elected directly by the people but they are elected by the electoral college.
