homo means same therefore homogeneous means which solvent is solluable in solvent.eg salt and water if mixed will be solluable so it is a homogeneous mixture.
Hetro means not same so in this type of mixture the solute is not totally dissolved in the solvent. Eg sand mixed in water ,as after some time the sand will seperate at the bottom so this is not solluable ,hence hetrogenous.simple
