surd number is irrational root of an onteger....
surds are irrational numbers
irrational numbers cannot be expressed as fractions for any integers..
example
 \sqrt{2 \div 7}
example of surd is
 \sqrt{2}
which cannot be further simplied so it s a surd
for example
 \sqrt{4}
which can be simplified to 2.. hence it cannot be a surd
