Holozoic nutrition: An organism takes the complex food and it is broken into simple substances which can be absorbed into the body cells.
Example: Humans and Amoeba.
Saprophytic nutrition: Organisms derive their nutrients from dead and decaying organic matter.
Example: Fungi and Mushrooms.
Parasitic nutrition: Organisms obtain food from other living organisms by living on or inside their body without killing them.
Example: Lice and Tapeworms.
Symbiotic nutrition: Organisms are mutually benefitted by living in close association with each other.
Example: Lichen has an symbiotic association with photosynthetic algae.
