Explain the differences and the similarities between hydrarch and xerarch successions of plants.

Difference between them----


XERACH SUCCESION:

1. Plants

Succesion that takes place in dry region.

2 .pioneer species are phytoplankton.

3. the phytoplankton are replaced by free floating angiosperm.

4. Then rooted angiosperm invade sedges, grasses, and trees.


HYDRACH SUCCESSION:

1. The plant succession which takes place in wet areaor water.

2. Lichen are pioneer species in bare area.

3. Later some small bryophytes invade.

4. The bryophytes are succeded by herbs, shurbs, and ultimately big trees


Similarities between them-----

In last, a stable climax forest is, formed in both succession. And leading to mesic conditions in both
