Mountain is the natural elevation of surface of earth.
They are higher than the surrounding area.
They have pointed structure.
Eg: Mount Everest.
Plateau:
Plateaus are the flat land that has got elevation.
In other words they are elevated plains
Plateaus are elevated areas with flat top.
Plateaus are rich in mineral deposit.
Eg: Deccan Plateau.
Plain:
Plain are large flat areas of land.
Costal plains are found near to oceans.
River plains are very fertile and good for growing crops.
