Hawaii is far from plate boundaries but it is on a hot spot. here plates do not converge but diverge from each other. The pacific plate continuously moves towards north America and towards Asia. which create an area where the crust is moving away from each other and to fill the vacuum up magma continuously rise up. in this process hot spots are created. due to this hot spot volcanic activity occurs and the Hawaiian islands created and they continuously moving towards the North American continent.

Answer:

The Hawaiian Islands are located on top of a hot spot, this means that magma is beneath it. This volcanic activity can alone form a volcano.
