\underline{\textbf{Flower\::}}is the main reproductive part in plant. It has 4 parts namely;

1) Sepal.

2) Petals.

3) Stamen.

4) Carpel or Pistil.

\textbf{Sepal}

These are green leaves present at the base of a plant. They protect the flower in bud condition. They contain chlorophyll. So, they also help in pollination.

These are coloured leaves. They attract the insects for pollination.

\textbf{Stamen}

It is the male part of flower. It has two parts :-

a) A long stalk part called Filament.

b) And the lower portion is Anther. Anther contains pollen grains.

\textbf{Carpel or Pistil}

It is a female part of flower. It consists of 3 parts :-

a) Upper broad portion called stigma. It reduces the pollen grains.

b) Middle thin part called Style. It transfer the pollen grains from stigma to ovule.

c) Basal swollen portion called Ovary. Ovary contains ovule which contains female gamates.

1. \textbf{Sepals ( Calyx )}:

Sepals are usually green, leaf like part in the outermost circle of a flower. Main function is to protect the flower in its initial stages of bud.

2. \textbf{Petals ( Corolla )  }:

Petals are colourful parts of a flower whose base lies inside the sepals. Main function is to attract insects for pollination.

3. \textbf{Stamen ( Androecium  )}:

Stamen is the male reproductive organ of the plant. Each stamen consist of a filament, an anther and a connective. Anther is the upper bilobed part and each lobe contains two pollen sacs within which numerous pollengrains are produced.

4. \textbf{ Pistil  ( Carpels  ) }:

Pistil is the female reproductive part of flower, it bearns carpel. It has three parts :

a. Stigma -- Allows pollengrains to stick.

b. Style -- It connects stigma to ovary.

c. Ovary -- It is at the bottom, and contains ovules which have female gametes.
