Chemical reactions:-
1. Combination reaction
A reaction in which two or more substances combine to form a single compound.
For example,
2H2 + O2 => 2H20
2. Decomposition reaction
A reaction in which a compound splits into two or more substances in the presence of light, heat and electricity.
For example,
2H20 => 2H2 + O2 (electricity )
3. Displacement reaction
A reaction in which less reactive substance is removed by highly reactive substance.
For example,
Fe + CuSo4 => FeSo4 + Cu
4. Double Displacement reaction
A reaction in which substances are formed by mutual exchange of ions.
For example,
Na2So4 + BaCl2 => 2NaCl + Baso4
6. Redox reaction
A reaction which is either followed by oxidation or reduction of substances.
