1) conduction : it is the process by which heat is transferred from a hotter end of substance is called conduction .it generally takes place in solids .
2) convection : It is the process in which the heat is transferred by the means of convectional currents .heat is transferred through convection is liquids and gases
eg boiling of water
3) radiation : The process of transferring of heat in the absence of medium is called radiation .Heat is transferred in the form of electromagnetic waves .
