Hi there
In ruminants the Stomach is divided into 4 chambers
Basically In 1st chamber the chewed food is just stored after the food is completely chewed.
In 2nd Chamber the food enters and in that chamber the water is completely dried and taken out.
In the chamber3 the food is concentrated as the water is removed .So the digestive Enzymes are released for the digestion process these Enzymes completely Digest good.
In the fourth chamber the food is sent as energy to every part and waste comes out through anus....
Hope this will help u dear☺☺

Digestion in grass eating Animals :
The grass eating animals such as Cow, Buffaloes, Horse etc. swallow half chewed grass quickly and store it in a part of their stomach called rumen.
Here, the food gets partially digested, which is called Cud. When the animals are not eating, the Cud return to the mouth in small lumps and is chewed again. This process is called rumination.
Those animals are called ruminants. Ruminants have four chamber in their stomach, i.e., Rumen, Reticulum, Omasum and Abomasum.
