Standard Cosmology of the Big Bang with Inflation and Cold Dark Matter is the standard “creation” or beginning of the Unverse cosmology today.

In the Big Bang scenario the Earth was formed well after the the origin of the Universe - about 9 billion years after the Big Bang. The lighter elements hydrogen and helium that make up the majority of the stars (including our Sun) were formed in the Big Bang. The other elements (such as oxygen, carbon and iron) were synthesized in stars through nuclear fusion. Some of these stars exploded in what we call super novas and spread the synthesized heavier elements as dust. Some of this dust coagulated together through gravity and formed the planet Earth. Some of the hydrogen and helium gas collected due to gravity and once the gas ball was large enough and dense enough it ignited with a nuclear fire and became our Sun.

I know of no quasi-scientific theory to explain the creation of the 6,000 year old this the very literal translation of the Biblical Genesis, but it is important to remember that the Big Bang theory which is now the “standard” scientific explanation of the beginning of the Universe was first postulated by a Catholic priest (Lemaitre). Lemaitre’s theory was criticized for being a creation story formulated because as a Christian, Lemaitre wanted a theory the looked like biblical creation.

Many people look for meaning in the beginning of the Earth or the beginning of the Universe. So the inquiry into the origins and theories as to how our Universe began is often loaded down with philosophic and religious over tones.

Answer:

The theories related to the formation of the earth were the nebular hypothesis, Interstellar cloud theory, Hoyle's hypothesis and Protoplanet theory, along with the Capture theory

Explanation:

  • The theory of nebular hypothesis was developed by Immanuel Kant and was widely accepted as a cloud and young sun and planets formed around it.
  • The capture theory was put forward by the Michael mark in 1964 as the diffusion of a protostar. Which would, later on, have collapsed to for a planet.
  • The interstellar cloud theory was given by the otto Schmidt, who stated that the sun which passed form a cloud of dust and gases eventually lead to the formation of the planets.
  • Hoyle's theory shows how the mass and composition of the plants are in direct relationship with the supernova that formed the sun and the planets.
  • The protoplanet theory states that the planets were formed by the collisions both the planet and the sun to form a cloud, where the smaller planet was captured by the gravity of the sun.
  • States that the inner planets like the mercury venus and the mars were formed with moons and had similar rotational axis period as that of earth.
