Answer:

The four most important factors that influence crop yield are soil fertility, availability of water, climate, and diseases or pests. ... The absence of any one of these nutrients has the potential to decrease crop yield by negatively affecting the associated growth factor.

Answer:

A number of different factors can cause agriculture productivity to increase and decrease .It is important to note that productivity is not an absolute measure , but rather a reflection of the ratio between input and output. A field that produces twice as much of some crop as it did in a previous year is not necessarily twice as productive , if the farmer spend twice as much on the field , the net change in productivity would be zero .

Factor that affect farm productivity that often can't be in the control of the farmer are as follows-

1. Weather- Unusual weather patterns such as drought , a prolonged rainy season , early or late frosts and other factors can ruin crops and can bring the productivity down.

2. Pest occurred or not by certain weather conditions in addition to spoiling crops , pest can add significantly to the cost of producing crop.

3. Available equipment - In region where acess to mechanized farm equipment is low , agriculture productivity can also be low as people handle their crops primarily by hand. This involves a big investment of time , energy and money etc .
