The ovaries produce the female egg cells, called the ova or oocytes. The oocytes are then transported to the fallopian tube where fertilization by a sperm may occur. The fertilized egg then moves to the uterus, where the uterine lining has thickened in response to the normal hormones of the reproductive cycle.
During menopause the female reproductive system gradually stops making the female hormones necessary for the reproductive cycle to work. At this point, menstrual cycles can become irregular and eventually stop. One year after menstrual cycles stop, the woman is considered to be menopausal.

Hi friend,

Reproduction means producing new individuals of same species.

First, ovaries produces female cells called ova. Then the sperm enters in it and fertilization takes place. Then it multiplies and form a fertilized cell called zygote. Then the zygote move to uterus through fallopian tube and the walls of uterus thickens so that it can hold the foetus formed. Then the further process takes place.

But if the fertilization doesn't takes place. Then the ova and the uterus lining with blood vessels come out through Vagina. This process is called menstruation and the cycle is called menstrual cycle.

At the age of 45-50,menstrual cycle stops. This is called menopause. As in the old age women's don't have such stamina that she can bear the menstrual cycle pain and all and women's are not capable for reproducing at that age because of lack of stamina and energy.

Hope it helped you out...............
