The female reproductive system organs are situated inside the abdomen just below the navel of women. It contains a pair of ovaries oviducts and uterus. The ovaries lie inside the abdomen in the hip region of the body one on each side of the uterus. Each ovary is just below the funnel shaped opening of the oviduct (which is also called as fallopian tube). The ovary produces female gametes called ova(ovum in singular) or eggs.
