● Flow of energy in a food chain is unidirectional .

● Green planta capture 1℅ of sunlight and convert it into food energy.

●10℅ law : only 10℅ of energy is transferred to the next trophic level . The remaining 90℅ energy is used in life process (digestion , growth , reproduction etc. ) by present trophic level.
