Explain the following: 1) Diamagnetism is the result of induced magnetic dipole moments. 2)Hysteresis associated with a loss in electromagnetic energy.

1). In a Diamagnetic Substance, magnetic dipoles are aligned randomly, but when an external Magnetic Field is applied, very few say 5 out of 100 are aligned in the direction of external magnetic field. So, a Diamagnetic substance possess inferior magnetic properties compared to Ferromagnetic material.

2). Every time a Hysterisis Loop is traversed in a Ferro or Ferry magnetic material, Energy loss occurs which is dependent upon
