Explain the following
(a) In which case evaporation of water will be faster i.e. near the sea or far away from sea.
(b) Why solids cannot be compressed like gases?
(c) Why does ice at 273 K more effective in cooling than water at the same temperature?

b) because they have compressed particle and no space between the particle.

c)Ice at 273 K will absorb heat energy or latent heat from the medium to overcome the fusion to become water. Hence the cooling effect of ice is more than the water at same temperature because water does not absorb this extra heat from the medium.
