Explain the following briefly : Incomplete Combustion​

In incomplete combustion, the substances do not burn completely, some are left unburned, which release black soot, which is actually carbon monoxide, it happens when there is a shortage of oxygen in the air, sometimes when we do not provide oxygen to a candle from both the upper and the lower side of it, we see the black soot being formed :)
