(a)saturated solution :

when no more solution can be added to the solution at a particular temperature then it is called a saturated solution

EXAMPLE:

take 50 ml water in a  beaker and keep it at a temperature of 5 degrees Celcius

and add salt to the water until it stops dissolving at a temperature of 5 degrees Celcius when it does it is called a saturated solution

(b) unsaturated solution :

when more solute can be added to the solution at a particular temperature then it is called an unsaturated solution
