i. Appointment and qualification of judges:

The President of the country appoints the ‘Chief Justice’ of a High Court after discussion with Supreme Court’s Chief justice and Governor of the state on the same. Then , the rest of the judges are selected by the consensus of President, Governor and the ‘Chief Justice’ of High Court.

To be qualifies as a judge of Supreme Court, one must be a citizen of India and he should be a part of judicial office for ten years in Indian territory. Or he should be a high court ‘advocate’ for a period of ten years.

ii. Constitutional arrangements for the independence of the High – court:

The constitution gives judiciary the power to make apt decisions based on the what is correct according to the law, in case there is a dispute. ... This ensures that no section of the government can misuse their power.
