The first Round Table Conference was held between 12th November 1930 and 19 January 1931.
Before this conference, Gandhiji had initiated Civil Disobedience Movement and hence, many of the Indian National Congress leaders were in Jail.
Therefore, Congress did not participate in the conference while some other parties did.
The outcomes were minimal and what was promised in the confidence wasn’t implemented and the civil disobedience movement continued in India.
Hence, the first Round Table Conference proved meaningless.
