forests are biodiversity hot spot. The measure of the biodiversity of an ares is the no. of species found there.
A forest being home for range of different life forms from a tiny microorganisms fungi to animals like lions ,deer etc. and hence called biodiversity hotspots.

Forests are called as biodiversity Hotspots because a wide range of species are found there. The range of different life forms includes bacteria, fungi, flowering plants, nematodes, insects, reptiles, mammals, etc.
