The Ammonia molecule generally made by reaction between 1 Nitrogen atom with 3 Hydrogen atoms. A Single Nitrogen atom has five Electrons in its Valence shell within the tradition Each Hydrogen has one Electron. One of every electron of the Nitrogen and one Electron of Hydrogen mix and make one bond.

Answer:

Explanation:

•In Ammonium molecule, there are 3 bond pairs and a lone pair

•Lone pair -lone pair replusion is greater than bond pair-bond pair repulsion.

•So NH3 which should be in tetrahedral in shape with four electron pairs with bond angle 109°28’ is reduced to 107°48’ due to more repulsion by lone pair on bond pair

•The shape of NH3 is triagonal pyramidal
