Boron triflouride is formed by combination of one Boron atom and three fluorine atoms.

B→1s²,2s²,2px1,2py02pz0


Boron contaminated vacent 2py and 2pz orbital . So their is transfer of electron from 2s² to 2py orbital . In this 1s orbital and 2p orbital take part in hybridization to form three sp hybrid orbital of equivalent energy and trigonal geometry with bond angle
