1. It is prepared by chlorination of Phosphorus Trichloride (PCL3) .

Phosphorus Trichloride is chemica compound of Phosphorus + 3 molecules of chlorine.

Formula of Phosphorus Pentachloride (PCL5) is as follow:-

PCL3 + CL2 = (PCL5)
