Soil minerals from the basis of soil.Thet are produced from rocks through the process of weathering and natural erosion. Water,wind,temperature change,living organisms differences all help break down parent material.

* Soil is classified on the basis of its colour, climate, parental rocks, structure, fertility, etc.

* Soil is formed due to erosion and weathering of the parental rocks. Soil is a mixture of minerals and biotic elements. It has capacity to develop vegetation.

* Climate affects widely and intensely on the formation of soil of any region during its time of formation. As a result the same type of soil is formed due to the climate from the same parent rocks.

* Due to differ climate, the soil formed from the same parental rocks due to different climate is different.
