Answer:

hey!!!!

Explanation:

The process of a liquid changing into vapour (or gas) even below its boiling point is called evaporation. Evaporation of a liquid can take place at room temperature, though it is faster at higher temperatures. It takes place on the surface of the liquid. When a liquid turns into vapour it is said to evaporate.

Factors affecting Evaporation

• Temperature

The rate of evaporation increases on increasing the temperature of the liquid. When the temperature of a liquid is increased by heating it, more particles of the liquid get enough kinetic energy to go into the vapour state. This increases the rate of evaporation.

• Surface Area of the Liquid

In our daily life, we spread out the washed clothes while drying to increase their surface area for rapid evaporation of water present in them. We are able to sip hot tea faster from a saucer than from a cup this is because a saucer has large surface. Due to the large surface area of saucer, the evaporation of hot tea from the saucer is faster. We conclude that, the rate of evaporation of a liquid can be increased by increasing the surface area of the liquid.

• Humidity of Air

When the humidity of air is low, then the rate of evaporation is high and water evaporates more readily. The wet clothes dry quickly under the conditions of low humidity of air this is because when humidity is low amount of water vapour present in the air is small.

• Wind Speed

The rate of evaporation of a liquid increases with increasing wind speed. When the wind speed increases, particles of water vapour move away with the wind decreasing the amount of water vapour in the surroundings. This increases the rate of evaporation of water. Example- The washed wet clothes dry more quickly on a windy day because evaporation is faster due to the high speed of wind.
