Answer:

1. The Vacuole stores food.

2. The Golgi Apparatus packages, modifies and dispatches materials to various cell parts.

3. Plastids store Chloroplasts - chlorophyll and Leucoplasts - other materials like sugars, starch and oil.

4. The Cytoplasm is responsible for holding the components of the cell and protects them from damage. It stores the molecules required for cellular processes and is also responsible for giving the cell its shape. It has cell organelles embedded which perform important functions for the cell.

(a) Vacuole: In plant cells, vacuoles help maintain water balance.

(b) Golgi apparatus: The Golgi apparatus is responsible for transporting, modifying, and packaging proteins and lipids into vesicles for delivery to targeted destinations. As the secretory proteins move through the Golgi apparatus, a number of chemical modifications may transpire.

(c) Plastids: Plastids are responsible for photosynthesis, storage of products like starch, and for the synthesis of many classes of molecules such as fatty acids and terpenes, which are needed as cellular building blocks and/or for the function of the plant.

(d) Cytoplasm: The cytoplasm also assists in metabolic activities. Cytoplasm provides shape to the cell. It fills up the cells thus enabling the organelles to remain in their position.
