After the embryo gets embedded into the uterus, it develops into blastocyst and attaches itself firmly to the 'lining' of the uterus.

EXPLANATION:

This is early stage of the embryo development in which it develops a yolk sac which provides the "essential nutrients" to the embryo. 'Tiny villi' or 'fingers' multiply during the early weeks on the outside of the fertilised egg.

These villi develop connections with the capillaries that provide the nutrition and remove wastes. The embryo continues to develop over the 'next few' weeks till it develops into a healthy baby.
