frist generation computer (1942-1955).
- they used electronic vaccum tubes
-they have less memory to store data
-they were heavy ,slow and big in size
second generation of computer (1956 - 1964)
- they were smaller in size than the frist generation computers.
- they could work faster and could store more data
- they used punched cardes and magnetic tapes to enter data .
third generation of computer (1965-1971)
- they used integrated circuits (ICs).
- they were less expensive and smaller in size
- they could do complex work and store more data
fourth generation of computer (used now a days)
- they use microprocessor .
- they are small in size .
- they work very fast and in accurate manner.
- they can store a large amount of data.
fifth generation of computer (yet to be fully developed)
- they use very large scaled integrated circuits with multiple microprocessors .
- they work on 'artificial intelligence' based on codes.
