Answer:

Laws of inheritance was proposed by Mendel in 1886.

According to the law of dominance, in the offsprings produced one of the inherited characters will be more dominant which will be visible while the other character will remain hidden known as the recessive character

Drawbacks of Mendel's law of dominance:

  • The blending of inheritance may occur in several crosses which does not follow the law of dominance.
  • Co-dominance may occur when two dominants come together. Example: Inheritance of blood group.
  • Hence, it is not necessary that dominance will occur in every cross. So the law of dominance can not be accepted universally.
