polluted air contain many toxic material which can damage our lungs and cause various health issues, it can cause many diseases in plants too

the harmful effects are :-

1- acid rain - air pollutants such as sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide contributes in acid rain . acid rain causes skin diseases and plant problems . it also causes damage to monuments and crops . for ex- the Taj Mahal which is located in agra is becoming yellow from white because of the acid rain and the pollutants release by mathura industry.

2- respiratory problems - respiratory problems are caused due to pollutants and they often lead to death . pollutants such as carbon monoxide ( CO) deceases they oxygen holding capacity of heamoglobin ( iron ) in the blood . which results in the decrease in metabolism . mordern days these problems are common as chidren also become their patients . for ex -( the Bhopal tragedy happened in 1984 killed many people . the gas was methyl isocyanate .

3-global warming - it is a climatic change that happened due to green house gases such as ( water vapour , cabon dioxide ) . it is the increase in temperature of climate .
it causes rise in water level and sinking of many islands .for ex - in about five years , venice ( Italy), which is knon as the watery city , would be completely sinked .

4- less visiblity - in many places where the temperature is low , there is less visiblity that causes many accidents and these pollutants also make problems in the process of photosynthesis of plants .
