when the gas is cooled the kinetic energy of the molecules decreases

so the intermolecular force also decreases

the molecules come closer

they come so closer thet they cannot leave their places

gases change to liquids

It happens because the molecules of iron rod absorb heat start vibrating fast.When the molecules vibrate fast at their mean position, the molecules pass heat to the other molecule and this happen within mili seconds and the other end of iron rod gets heated
