At the very top of hierarchical Classification is the broadest category which is Kingdom, followed by the other categories which are phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species. For example, for humans, the hierarchical classification would be Kingdom Animalia, Phylum Chordata, Class Mammalia, Order Primates, Family Hominidae, Genus Homo and Species sapiens.
