it consists of 4 layers
1) serosa ( outermost layer)
mesothelial and connsetive tissue
it protect the alimentary canal
2) muscular layer
many autonomous nerve are passed from alimentary canal
so called as. myenteries plexus
it is useful in contraction and relaxation
3) submucosa
it has brunners gland
useful in production of mucus

4) mucosa
muscular mucosa : it has muscles
lormina propria: it has more number of nerve
epithelial: it is covered by epithelium

Describe the histology of alimentary canal of man. The wall of alimentary canal from oesophagus to rectum possesses four layers namely serosa, muscularis, sub-mucosa and mucosa. ...
