hybridisation is the process of intermixing of orbitals and re-distributing them with equal energies.

There are 3 types of hybridisations:-
--------> sp3 hybridisation (1 s orbital and 3 p orbitals are hybridised)
--------> sp2 hybridisation (1 s orbital and 2 p orbitals are hybridised)
--------> sp hybridisation (1 s orbital and 1 p orbital are hybridised)
