Answer: Demerits of green revolution are :

1. Only the farmers of Punjab,Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh could enjoy effects of green revolution , it did not spread to the whole country.

2. Chemical fertilizers, HYV seeds, insecticides, pesticides were very costly, therefore the poor people were not able to buy it which created a difference between poor and rich.

3. Harmful chemicals products destroyed the fertility and nature soil.
