A literature review is a vital part of any project, thesis, research paper, etc. as it documents  surveys for books, scholarly articles, and any other sources relevant to topic and  provides the description, summary, and critical evaluation of these works in relation to the research problem being investigated. It is a documentation of previously done work on the topic you are researching upon.
