Explain the importance of fossils in deciding evolutionary relationships.

It gives us information about how the new organisms have evolved from earlier ones...It helps us by giving information about extinct species and gives info about the time period in which they lived.........For eg.The fossil of archaeopteryx have shown the link between reptiles and aves.....

1- The fossils closer to earth surface are complex than the ones found in the bottoms that shows the evolution of species in different time periods.

2- According to the geological time scale, humans and have been evolved from the great family of apes after looking at the complete series of changes indicating links between them.
