Explain the importance of Osmosis for living beings? Pls answer in detail and in easy language!

IMPORTANCE OF OSMOSIS IN PLANTS:

plants absorb water from soil through root hairs by this process.

the movement of water from one cell to another cell is due to this process.

Some amount of mineral salts is also taken in by OSMOSIS.

the transport of food and ascent of sap depend upon this process.

it also help in maintaining the turgidity of guard cells which control the opening of stomata.


IMPORTANCE OF OSMOSIS IN ANIMALS:


OSMOSIS is a primary importance in animals ,where it influence the distribution of nutrients and release of metabolic waste such as urea.
