jallianwala bagh incident is one of the most unforgettable incidents of tyranny caused by british . on baisakhi i.e the harvesting day a public meeting was being processed. general dyer had been given the duty to maintaion peace and order in punjab due to the rowlatt act refugees. amidst all this general dyre marched in and without making any announcement burnt people . he ordered his troops to open fire and this whole incident is known as jallianwala bagh m assacre that took on 13 april,1919. as a result of which there was widespread agony between people and rabindranath tagore renounced his title of knighthood
