Answer:

The different ways that animals and plants are interdependent in an ecosystem because they depend on each other for basic survival needs like food, protection, shelter and propagation. Plants provide food for animals and humans, who cannot make their own foods like plants do.

The plants are associated with the animals as they provide food in the form of fruits, leaves, stems and roots to them. The plants also provide shelter to the animals for their survival.

In return to the services provided by the plants in the forests the animals helps in dispersal of fruits and seeds thus helps in the colonization of specific species of the plant. Thus this can be said that the plants and animals live in mutualistic symbiotic relationship.

For example, the monkeys live in the mango trees they acquire shelter as well as mangoes as a source of food. The monkeys spread the mango seeds and helps in colonization of mango trees in the forests.
