external fertilization- fertilization of two different gamets occurs outside the female body. e.g in fish female lays eggs in water after, male released sperm over eggs.

internal fertilization- fertilization of two diffetent gametes sperm from male and ovum from female occurs inside the body of the female. so.the chanse of survival is more in internal fertilization.

Internal Fertilisation:- In Mammals, reptiles, birds and some types of fish the gametes meet inside of the female's body. This is called the internal Fertilisation. All land dwellers need to fertilize this way because sperm still prefer swimming to walking.

External Fertilisation:- External Fertilisation is a male organism's sperm fertilizing a female organism's egg outside of the female's body. External Fertilisation occurs in water or a moist area because it gives the sperm external mobility to get to the egg.
