The land under permanent pasture has also decreased. Most of the other than the current fallow lands are either of poor quality or the cost of cultivation of such land is very high

Hey There! ☺️

The resources of land  in India are essentially splitted up into agronomy land, plantation land, pasture & grazing lands, waste land and for alternative nonagricultural utilization. Waste land comprises of rock-strewn, dried up and unoccupied regions. Land is also utilized for alternate non-agricultural reason such as  accommodation, routes  and construction.

According to the statistics for 2002-03, with relevance to 54% of the comprehensive land region was capable of being farmed productively or uncultivated  22.5% of land was compromised by forests and 3.5% is utilized for pasture . The rest is waste land, with discover by investigation of various farming agriculture.

The inappropriate utilization of forest land has reduced the accessible land region , and has made  preservation of forests  inconvenient. Human activities such as deforestation, extracting and preying have granted to the moderate development rate of forests. Thus, land under forest has expanded by only about 4% since 1960-61.
