the Jacobins which got it's name from the former convent of st jacob in Paris.the member of Jacobins clubs belong mainly to less prosperous society .they included small shopkeeper, artisans such as shoemaker,pastry cooks,watch makers,printers,as well as servants and daily wages workers.they decided to wear long striped trousers similar to those worn by dock workers.this was to set themselves apart from the fashionable sections of society especially nobles who wore knee breeches .
