Explain the limitation of the power of the president

Parliament is the final authority for making laws in our country.In our political system,the president exercises only nominal power.
• A bill passed by the Parliament becomes a law only after the president gives assent to it.If the president wants, he/she can delay this for some time and send the bill back to the Parliament for reconsideration.But if the Parliament passes the bill again,he/she has to sign it.
•All international treaties and agreements are made in the name of the president.The president makes the appointments of the chief justice of India,the judges of the supreme Court and the high Court of the states,the governors of the states etc..The president exercise all these power only on the advice of Council of Ministers to reconsider it's advice.However,if the same advice is given again,he/she is bound to act according to it.
