Answer : 1.)Middle class participation was active in towns but the active participants were less in number.
2.)National education institutions were less in India due to which students returned back to schools and colleges.
3.)Teachers and headmasters returned back to schools and colleges due to non-availability of any other alternative(National education institutions).
4.)Lawyers also returned back to their profession.
5.)Khadi was very expensive due to which it was unaffordable for poor. So, they couldn't boycott mill made cloth for long.
6.)To earn their livelihood, people rejoined their job and profession.
Non-cooperation movement (Asehyog Andolan in Hindi) gradually led to widespread violence and disintegration of people in numerous places due to Chauri Chaura incident (1922) and went against the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi that is Satyagraha due to which it was called off (withdrawn) by Gandhiji in February 1922.
