the line 'the frog observed them glitter with a joy both sweet and bitter" tells us that the frog is happy as it is getting so much money for nightingale's song and at the same time.. it's jealous as the bird is getting name and fame more than the frong in the bingle bog....

the poet describe that at night famous personalities from the royal family come to attend the nightangle concert the frog was happy that he was going to on that day out the popularity of the nightangle at the same time he was jealous of bird getting popular
