MASS by mass (%m/m):

  • it is a number of solute in grams dissolved in a solution of 100 grams.

for example:

10% m/m sugar solution means the solute (sugar) is 10 % dissolved in 90 gram of solution.

formula:

%m/m = mass of solute in grams / x 100

mass of solution in grams

mass of \: solute \: in \: grams \:  \times 100 \:  \div mass \: of \: solutiom \\ n \: in \: grams

MASS by VOLUME (%m/v):

it is number of solute in grams dissolved in a solution whose volume is 100 cubic cm

for example:

10% m/v sugar solution means 10 gram of of sugar dissolved in 100 cubic cm of solution.

formula:

%m/v = mass of solute in grams / x 100

volume of solution in cubic cm

mass \: of \: solute \: in \: grams \:  \div mss \: of \: solution \: in \: cm {3 \:  \times 100}^{?}

hope this helps, if not please comment,I will tell you again.
